Is This Jon Jones Instagram Post a Shot at Conor McGregor?

Either Jones is paying homage to him, or McGregor got dragged.

On Friday, Jon Jones posted a short, generic clip of his 10-hour commercial shoot for his upcoming fight against Daniel Cormier at UFC 200 on Instagram, but what has people talking are a few of the captions he chose to use.

There's nothing to read into with #UFC200 and #Promo, so let's scoot over to those other two hashtags. Of course, the #thankyouConor hashtag is in reference to McGregor announcing his retirement in a cryptic tweet which led to UFC president Dana White pulling the rematch between Conor and Nate Diaz as the main event at UFC 200.

As for #Redpantyparty, that's where things get interesting. Back in September, McGregor made the following statement before his fight against Jose Aldo

PerFOX Sports:

"I can make you rich," McGregor shouted last September. "I'll change your bum life. When you sign to fight me, it's a celebration. You ring back home, you ring your wife -- baby, we've done it. We're rich, baby. Conor McGregor made us rich. Break out the red panties."

Now, is Jones paying homage to McGregor? Or, as FOX Sportspoints out, could this be a response to a recent swipe by McGregor where he claimed that he holds the record for most PPV buys before throwing shade at the numbers done by Jones' last fight at UFC 197?

Jones' team did not immediately respond to Complex’s request for comment.
