Watch Jeremy Lin Go One-On-One Against a 14-Year-Old Icelandic Prep Star

Jeremy Lin played 14-year old Julíus Agustsson after meeting at an ice cream parlor in Iceland.

Charlotte Hornets guard Jeremy Lin is making good use of his early summer start—inevitably since his team is out of the playoffs—by traveling the world. On Saturday, Lin was in the town of Akureyri (population 18,000) in Northern Iceland and ran into a 14-year-old fan named Júlíus Orri Ágústsson, as well as the kid's mother, at a local ice cream parlor, ESPN reports.

The teenage fan is a local basketball star, who led his age group to the Icelandic Cup Title earlier this year with 25 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists, and 4 steals in the championship game. Lin was invited by Ágústsson's mother back to their house to play her son one-on-one in their backyard. Lin, known for his congenial personality, happily took on the challenge.

The teen quickly went up 3-0 in the game and Lin excused his play by telling him in the video above, "I haven't played in a little bit, so I'm a little out of shape." The outcome of the game is unknown, but if Lin lost against a 14-year-old kid, it's fair to say he's stuck holding an L for the entire Hornets team.

We've reached out to Ágústsson's mother to hopefully find out what the final result of this matchup was.
