Chris Bosh is petitioning the NBA Players Association to assist him in forcing his team, the Miami Heat, to let him play again. For the past two season, the 11-time NBA All-Star has been dealing with deep vein thrombosis, or blood clots, in his leg. Bosh missed the entire second half of the last season (30 games) for a blood clot that moved up from his calf to his lung and caused him to be hospitalized for several days. He has been sidelined since February of this season due to the recurring blood clot.

The NBA veteran released a statement back March 11 about his "positive" condition:

Miami Heat headcoach Erik Spoelstra spoke to reporters about a possible return for Bosh this past regular season and playoffs. He reflected the team management's sentiment that they were not as optimistic as Bosh about his chances of returning to the team by the end of the season.

Spo on Bosh: "We love Chris. He's in a great place right now mentally. We don't have any kind of timetable." #Heat
