It doesn't matter if you're a superstar in the NBA, Stanley Johnson isn't afraid to speak his mind. Earlier this month, Johnson fired back at Kevin Durant after he claimed the Oklahoma City Thunder would have “beat the hell out of” the Pistons if he had played. Following Wednesday's 107-90 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Pistons rookie was back at it again, ripping LeBron James and the Cavs bench.
"He jabbers," Johnson said after Game 2. "He moves his mouth sometimes. Their whole team does, kind of like their little cheerleaders on the bench. Every time you walk in the right corner. They're always saying something like they're playing basketball, like they're actually in the game. There's only seven or eight players who play, I don't see why the other players are talking. They might as well just be in the stands, in my opinion."
And it didn't end there. Johnson continued taking shots at James.
And here's our favorite one.
During their Game 2 showdown, LeBron bumped into Johnson after sinking a three-pointer.
The Pistons eventually returned the favor when Marcus Morris delivered elbows to James, who complained to the referees and followed that up by saying, "I’m gonna f**k that n**** up!"
After the game, though, Morris told reporters that none of LeBron's trash talk was directed towards him. Riiiight.
With tempers flaring and the series headed to Detroit, Game 3 on Friday is going to be a lot of fun to watch.
