It’s been a surprisingly quiet NFL offseason for Rex Ryan. We actually haven’t covered him at all since the 2015-16 NFL season ended. But he changed that today when he announced that, later tonight, he is going to take the stage at the First Niagara Center in Buffalo to help introduce Donald Trump during a rally:

Ryan stopped short of endorsing Trump when reporters asked him questions about the Republican Presidential candidate. He said he’s more of a Chris Christie guy and gave a somewhat baffling reason for it:

Rex Ryan stopped short of endorsing Donald Trump. He said Chris Christie was his guy because they've both had lapband surgery.

But this should be...interesting? Stay tuned to see what Ryan has to say during Trump’s intro.
