New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman has a great sense of humor. Or at least he thinks so.

Edelman took time away from remaining on standby for Tom Brady's random needs for his assistance during the NFL offseason to film a spoof of the reality TV-pioneering show COPS with his teammate and fellow Pats wideout and Danny Amendola.

Together, they dress up as Boston police officers and patrol the Patriots home city of Boston (well, as you'll notice in the video, you can see it's really L.A. due to palm trees in the background, one of the dudes they chase down and arrest has an L.A. Dodgers hat on, there are houses with Spanish tiles on the roofs in the neighborhood they run through, plus Boston alleyways don't really look like that, but hey, television and YouTube are both part of the Land of Make-Believe, and actors essentially pretend, so it's all good, right?).

The teammates do the usual of what best-bros do together: pushups, eating burgers, skateboarding, chilling in a hot tub together on a sunny day, and watch SportsCenter on their couch, all while mumbling to each other via their walkie-talkies to play up the cop role to name a few examples.

They really didn't have to go far to research their characters, nor develop method acting for this short clip. It's easy to believe that Gronk would definitely be proud of this nonsense.
