After debating whether to take Texas A&M guard Germain Ifedi or Alabama defensive tackle Jarran Reed late in the first round, the Seattle Seahawks eventually went with the former. On Day 2, the Seahawks were able to trade up seven spots to grab Reed as well. The situation worked out perfectly in Seattle's favor. A little too perfect, especially when you consider Jarran's snack of choice as he waited to hear his name called.
"It was crazy because I was chewing on Skittles when I got the call," Reed told ESPN. "And I was just thinking, ‘Hey, Marshawn[Lynch] loves Skittles.’ So I thought it would just be kind of funny. Just having a little fun. It’s exciting." And, as he made his way to the stage to meet NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, Reed showed off the candy bag and gave a quick shoutout to the former 'Hawks star running back.
