David Haye Agrees to Fight Shannon Briggs After the Two Clashed at Anthony Joshua's Weigh-In

Let's go champ.

"I think he's talked himself into getting knocked out now. I'm gonna fight him. He'll fight on my undercard and if he wins, if he can pass the medical, if he can pass the brain scan, I'll knock him out afterwards."

Shannon Briggs has finally found himself a fight.

The 44-year-old heavyweight, who has made a career out of doorstepping fighters in the hope of goading them into a fight, appears to have finally tempted David Haye into facing him later this year.

Briggs gatecrashed Haye's press conference last week, as he announced a fight on May 21st with Arnold Gjergjaj. At the time, Haye advised Briggs to fight on that undercard to prove he's worthy of a shot and after being confronted by Briggs at Anthony Joshua's weigh-in at the O2 Arena, Haye confirmed that deal had been made.

Appearing on Sky Sports News, Haye said:

There's only one thing to say: let's go champ.
