Draymond Green rarely backs down from any of the questions that reporters ask him during press conferences. But after the Warriors destroyed the Rockets in Game 4 of their first-round playoff series yesterday, Green went off on a reporter for asking him a really strange question pertaining to the floods that took place in Houston last week.

“Draymond, here’s an interesting question,” the reporter said. “So last year, you visit [Houston], Game 3, there’s no flood, you win. Game 4, there was a flood, you lose. This year, you visit [Houston], Game 3, there’s a flood, you lose. Game 4, there’s no flood, you win...”

It was kind of unclear where the reporter was going with his question or what he wanted Green to say in response to it, but the Golden State star shut him down before he could even finish. He called the reporter out for asking him a similar question prior to Game 4 and said that he wasn’t going to take the bait and make any sort of controversial statement about the floods.

“I feel like you keep trying to get at, like, us hitting threes or something and you’re trying to get a controversial statement out of me,” Green said. “But you’re not. I feel sorry for the city of Houston. People are losing their homes, losing their cars, losing their lives, losing loved ones, and you’re trying to get a controversial statement out of me about the threes. I know what you’re getting at, but you’re not getting it out of me.”

You can check out Green’s entire answer in the clip above. What exactly was this reporter expecting him to say?
