Former NBA Player Damon Stoudamire Is the New Head Coach of the Pacific Basketball Team

Since retiring from the NBA in 2008 after 13 years in the league, Damon Stoudamire has served as an assistant coach for the Memphis Grizzlies, Arizona Wildcats, and Memphis Tigers. Today, the Pacific Tigers announced that they have named Stoudamire their new head coach for the 2016-17 college basketball season. Stoudamire will replace former head coach Ron Verlin at the school.

He’s also scheduled to take part in an introductory press conference today:

Pacific finished with a record of 8-20 this season. It’ll be interesting to see how quickly Stoudamire can turn things around.
