Try putting yourself in the shoes of Randy Foye for a second. As the 3 p.m. NBA trade deadline on Thursday draws near, Foye doesn't hear anything from the Nuggets front office, so he (rightfully) assumes that he will be staying in Denver for the remainder of the 2015-16 season.
Then, the 32-year-old guard hears his phone ring. It's a notification from the NBA app. It says that Foye has been dealt to the Oklahoma City Thunder.
It's unfortunate that Foye found out the way he did, but hey, finding out you've been shipped to the third-best team in the Western Conference kind of softens the blow, no?
