We have no idea how seriously they take their high school basketball up in Idaho. But after watching this video, we do know how seriously they take their mascots. VERY seriously.
During a game between the Highland Rams and Madison Bobcats last night, the mascots from the two schools got into it during a Madison tradition that involves the school’s fan base dancing to a Romanian pop song (wait…what?). Some Madison students then rushed the court and pushed the Highland mascot to the ground, at which point Highland students rushed the court and approached the Madison students like, “What up?” Eventually, cooler heads prevailed thanks to some police officers who stepped in and separated the two sides. But things very nearly took a turn for the worst.
