Didier Drogba is doing even more to help Africa.

The Chelsea legend has carved a reputation as one of the most charitable names in football for his work with his very own The Didier Drogba Foundation, which has worked tirelessly to improve education and public health in his home country of Ivory Coast.

On his latest trip to Africa, Drogba and his foundation visited a farming town with Nestle – where they surprised hundreds of school children with footballs that double as a power source to light up their home.

The ball charges a battery when it's kicked around.

When played with, the unique football uses kinetic energy to power a battery that can then be used to power small appliances in the home or a night light that actually pops up from within the ball.

Speaking on Instagram, Drogba said:

"So happy my Foundation & @nestlecocoaplan have been able to supply hundreds of kids with these amazing footballs which kids can play with during the day which store energy then act as light at night so they can do their home work!"

Nestle will also be working with The Didier Drogba Foundation to build a school in the country. Props to both.
