Just 24 hours after saying they weren't arresting Johnny Manziel, Dallas police are officially opening up an investigation against the quarterback. TMZ Sports reports that the police now have the cooperation of his ex-girlfriend Colleen Crowley, who Manziel allegedly beat last weekend.

Crowley told police that Manziel told her to, "Shut up or I’ll kill us both," after a Saturday morning altercation at the Zaza Hotel. The police report says the quarterback hit her repeatedly and dragged her by the hair at one point. Crowley refused to let the police take photos of her injuries and became uncooperative when they continued to question her.

Earlier today, a judge ordered Manziel to pay Crowley $12,000 in legal fees and signed a protective order that keeps him away from Crowley for two years.
