Byron Scott's relationship with players like D'Angelo Russell and Julius Randle can be described as weird at best. In fact, perhaps the best thing about the Lakers' miserable season is how they didn't straight up bark on Scott. They might have to once they hear about what Scott said about them.
Byron likened developing young players to raising kids. Said there's times when it's enjoyable, others when he wants to "get the belt out."
Two things.
1. Isn't getting aired out by Kobe Bryant the worst punishment you can get?
2. And come on. Russell and Randle, and every player in the NBA, are grown men. It doesn't even work as a joke.
