NRL superstar Michael Jennings has inked a deal with Parramatta Eels, keeping him in the western suburbs for four years.

The move is sure to have Parramatta fans excited, as Jennings will form one of the best left-side combinations in the league with Fijian winger Semi Radradra and five-eighth Keiran Foran.

In light of the signing, the Penrith junior may come to regret comments he has made about Parramatta in the past, when in 2011 he professed a serious hatred for the blue and gold.

“I don’t hate the Parramatta players, just the team they represent,” Jennings said.

“If you come through the Penrith juniors, you’re brought up to hate Parra. That’s how I was brought up and I’m sure it’s still going on.”

Earning regular representative honours for NSW and Australia, it's unusual the Roosters would move Jennings on in favour of new signing Dale Copley. Copley comes at a much lower price, and has sparked specualtion among fans. While the sensible conclusion is that the Roosters are balancing the books to retain the talents of Boyd Cordner and Jackson Hastings, who come off contract next season, others are jumping on the more sensational idea that this is all part of the Roosters maneuvering to sign Jarryd Hayne.

Hayne has been linked with Roosters GM Nick Politis on several occasions during his down-time in Australia. Is Hayne looking to come back after the next NFL season?

For now, let's just enjoy to prospect of that Foran-Jennings-Radradra combo.
