With a roster that includes Kyrie Irving, Kevin Love, and, of course, LeBron James, the Cavaliers are obviously a talented team. But are they willing to put in the work that it’s going to take for them to win an NBA title this season?
You would think the answer to that question would undoubtedly be “Yes.” But it doesn’t seem like LeBron is so sure. So earlier today, he told reporters that the Cavs are going to need to be more driven if they want to go down in history after this season:
But he didn’t stop there. LeBron also posted a motivational quote from Conor McGregor on Instagram. The quote comes directly from a documentary that McGregor took part in last year:
If you can’t make out the quote, it reads: “There’s no talent here, this is hard work. This is an obsession. Talent does not exist. We are all equals as human beings. You could be anyone if you put in the time. You will reach the top, and that’s that. I am not talented, I am obsessed.”
McGregor hasn’t responded to LeBron quoting him yet, but this is obviously a huge look for him. How many people can say that they have served as motivation for one of the biggest athletes on the planet? Also: Does McGregor get a ring now if the Cavs win it all?!
