Floyd Mayweather is retired. For good. That’s what he said earlier this week when he revealed that he’s set up to make $1 million every single month for the rest of his life regardless of whether or not he ever fights again—and that’s what he said again tonight when he sat ringside during Premier Boxing Champions on FOX. But could he be convinced to get back into the ring?

It seems like Amir Khan is hoping so. Khan has been angling for a fight with Mayweather for quite some time now, and tonight, he engaged in some trash talk with Mayweather (with some help from his wife Faryal Makhdoom) during Danny Garcia’s PBC victory over Robert Guerrero. Mayweather didn’t seem too receptive to whatever it was Khan and his wife said to him during the right, but Showtime executive Stephen Espinoza saw what happened and posted this on Twitter:

.@FloydMayweather and @AmirKhan trash talking each other through the whole 5th round. Might get a fight signed for Showtime right here.

Will this ultimately lead to a Mayweather/Khan fight? Doubtful. Khan might actually fight Garcia next. But as we mentioned, Khan has had his sights set on a fight with Mayweather for a long time now, so can you blame him for trying to get under his skin?
