CM Punk hasn’t taken part in his first UFC fight yet, but it’s definitely coming. No official announcement has been made, but reports have indicated that Punk will probably fight at either UFC 199 or UFC 200 (with his likely opponent being Mickey Gall). And Punk sounds like he’s more than ready to climb into the Octagon.

Recently, the former WWE wrestler spoke with The Sun about how he thinks his debut is going to go. He revealed that he’s “a thousand percent” better at MMA today than he was just six months ago and said that people are going to be surprised by what they see from him. Additionally, Punk took aim at those doubting him and said that he’s going to make people upset by winning his first bout. In fact, he fully expects those people to lose both their money and their marriages as a result of what he’s able to do with the UFC.

“I expect people to be disappointed,” he said. “I expect all those people that think I’m gonna get knocked out in 10 seconds to be disappointed. I expect people to bet against me and lose their money. I expect people to get divorced because they’re upset that their wife wanted me to win, and they wanted me to lose, you know?”

There are definitely going to be plenty of people rooting against Punk. And regardless of whether he wins or loses, there’s going to be quite a reaction from them when his first match is over.
