Ronda Rousey agreed to accompany a U.S. Marine named Jarrod Haschert to the Marine Corps Ball earlier this year after he invited her through a Facebook video that quickly went viral.

But after being knocked out by Holly Holm at UFC 193, it was unclear whether or not Rousey would be able to keep her commitment, and Haschert supposedly hadn't heard from Rousey as recently as this week. But in a video interview with TMZ, Rousey just revealed she will still attend the event as planned.

"I promised I'd go," Rousey said. "It was an honor to be asked. Honestly, I probably would stay on my couch crying and eating ice cream for another month if he didn't ask me to go, so it's probably a good thing."

Rousey was also asked about a rematch with Holm possibly being set for July.

"That's what I want," she said. "It's up to the UFC and it's up to her camp, so we'll see what happens."

Rousey seemed a little on the sad side, but it could have just been the early morning hour that was influencing her mood. Overall, however, she seemed to make it clear that she was excited to be going, and there's no doubt that Haschert will be thrilled to see her show up.

"I don't know how good I look at 4 o'clock in the morning after like the worst month ever, but yeah," Rousey said.

Stay tuned for photos of Rousey at the event.
