The entire world might be mad at him right now, but Gilbert Arenas isn’t backing off the sexist comments he made in a couple of Instagram posts that he put up earlier this week. The ex-NBA star made a series of sexist statements in the posts, but he called into TMZ Sports today and told them that he won’t be issuing an apology anytime soon, regardless of how many people ask him to do it.

“What will I be sorry about?” he asked. “I don’t know what the big deal is...They call me washed up. Yeah, I’m washed up. I don’t want an apology because they called me washed up if that’s the truth.”

Considering he has daughters, Arenas was then asked what he would say to them if they played basketball and wore a regular uniform.

“I’m petty,” he said, “so as a father, I’m going to let her dress the way she dresses. As a petty person, I’m going to laugh at the way she dresses. Period.”

Sigh.

You can hear some snippets of Arenas’ interview in the clip above. The rest of it airs tonight on TMZ Sports on FS1.
