We say this because David Price just signed a massive seven-year, $217 million contract with the Red Sox after spending last season with the Tigers and the Blue Jays. It's the largest contract the Red Sox have ever given to a player and, just to put it into perspective, the $217 million is about $45 million more than LeBron James has made in his entire career. So yeah, that’s a lot of money, especially when you consider that Price is 30 and will be well past his prime once the contract is over. Yikes.
