Steph Curry Is Thinking About 33 Straight Wins

Steph Curry is dreaming big but he's not crazy.

There's no debate on who are the best and worst teams in the league. We won't waste breath on the latter because the Warriors are nice.

The biggest struggle Golden State has had these past two weeks were the Clippers. The Warriors came back from a 23-point deficit to win and crush the Clippers' spirit, turning them into an average sub-.500 squad. Golden State's recent win against the hapless Lakers gave them a 16-0 record, the greatest start in NBA history.

Now the question is how long can the Warriors stay unbeaten? Their next four opponents are the Kings, Hornets, Jazz, and Suns, who're a combined 29-31. So that's probably 20-0 at least. However, Steph Curry and co. are thinking about 33 straight wins even though they're just halfway there.

"We talk about 33,” Curry said in a conference call, according to Pro Basketball Talk. “I think I’ve probably talked about it more than anybody else on the team, just because I know about the history and just really how hard it is.

Curry's ambition is also grounded in some facts. He noted that the Warriors did go on "like two 16-game winning streaks" last year (he's a bit off: the Warriors's largest streaks were 16 games and 12 games). But what's crazy is how possible 33-0 seems for the Warriors without that tidbit.
