He’s not the only one who thinks this.

Kobe Bryant’s (final?) season is not going to way he hoped it would. He’s a shell of a shell of his former self, which is to say we barely recognize him out there on the court, and it’s gotten so bad that many people—us included—are calling for Kobe to call it quits ASAP.

The Los Angeles Timesjust spoke with a handful of former players, coaches, scouts, executives, and analysts about Kobe’s current situation, and all of them—every single one of them—sounded disappointed in Kobe's 2015-16 NBA season.

One scout said, “Nothing,” when asked what Kobe has left in the tank before adding, “I hate it.”

Kobe’s former teammate Shaquille O’Neal said that “it is hard to watch” when speaking about how far Kobe has fallen.

And one current NBA player went as far as to call Kobe’s season “disgusting.”

“I’ve seen him play and it’s disgusting,” the anonymous player said. “He’s one of the best of all time. But he really hasn’t played that much in the last two or three years. He’s got nothing left. It’s sad to watch because he used to be so great, and I mean great.”

We can’t say we disagree. We just wonder how many more of these articles are going to pop up between now and the end of the season, assuming Kobe decides to stick it out and not retire just yet. Things aren’t going to get much better for him, but can they possibly get even worse? Stay tuned.
