Ian Rapport of NFL.com is reporting that Steve Smith has four broken ribs. The Ravens wide receiver sustained the injury after taking a helmet to the back from Steelers linebacker Lawrence Timmons. Â
Following the game, Smith placed former Panthers teammate and current Steelers safety Mike Mitchell on his "lifetime hit list," even though Mitchell had nothing to do with the 36-year-old receiver's injury.
The most remarkable part of this report is that Smith is only expected to take a short-term absence.Â
