Bastian Schweinsteiger is hoping no child orders his action figure for Christmas.

The Manchester United midfielder is taking legal action against a Chinese firm that's produced World War II Nazi action figures called 'Bastian' that are clearly modeled on his likeness.

The German World Cup winner is dressed in Nazi uniform, complete with a swastika and eagle on his uniform. German newsaper Bild has reported that Schweinsteiger has taken action to stop the toys from going on sale in Europe.

The action figure is even called 'Bastian'.

The company behind the product, DiD, say the likeness is just a coincidence. Patrick Chan told Bild:

"We offer no figures based on football. The resemblance is purely coincidental.

We're not sure how well that defence will hold up in court.
