TMZ Sports is reporting that Lamar Odom suffered a dozen strokes "early on in his medical emergency," which were discovered after the former NBA player underwent a series of brain scans. While it is believed that the strokes didn't affect his vital organs, they have impacted his motor skills and speech. Odom is set to go through months of physical therapy to address these matters. However, doctors are unsure how much of his ability to walk and talk will be restored.
At the moment, the main focus is on Odom's kidneys. According to TMZ Sports, Odom is going through six hours of dialysis a day at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in L.A. Ultimately, though, he made need a transplant.
