Jon Jones is back, and to the surprise of no one who's paying attention, he's set his crosshairs on current light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier. Bones is eager to reclaim that title and Cormier is eager to prove he's not just a placeholder. A sanctioned UFC match of this magnitude won't come in 2015. But what about an unsanctioned match in a gym? Jones is down.
Honestly I'd fight Daniel in the OSU wrestling room. John Smith can be our referee. Just trying to take back what's mine— Jon Bones Jones (@JonnyBones) October 30, 2015
And so is Cormier.
@JonnyBones if that's how we wanna do it. I can be in new Mexico in a few hours. And we can do it every day until fight day comes.— Daniel Cormier (@dc_mma) October 30, 2015
The rest of the exchange continues as if they're trying to shoot the fair one after school instead of fighting for a championship belt with serious money on the line.
Perfect Daniel, I'll be at Jackson's MMA grand opening this Saturday Oct 31st if you want to stop by. #BringyourKleenex— Jon Bones Jones (@JonnyBones) October 30, 2015

Awesome, I'll be waiting. 301 Dr Martin Luther King Jr Ave NE, Albuquerque, NM 87102— Jon Bones Jones (@JonnyBones) October 30, 2015
I'm gonna be there but I need u to make it to the octagon, we don't wanna violate parole now do we :) @JonnyBones— Daniel Cormier (@dc_mma) October 30, 2015
Petty parting shots from Cormier. This whole thing probably won't happen—lest they invite the wrath of Dana White—but at least they're game.
