German football is still doing their utmost to welcome refugees to their country.

This time around, it's Bayern Munich star David Alaba who's making it his duty to put smiles back on faces but, being a 23-year-old sneakerhead, Alaba has stuck to what he knows by gifting refugees hundreds of pairs of shoes.

Alaba rocked up to a community centre and surprised those who have fled from war-torn Syria with gifts including sneakers, T-shirts and footballs.

Posting to Facebook, Alaba said:

"If you are blessed with a good life, always try to give something back! ‪#‎givesomethingback‬ ‪#‎da27‬"

We're still waiting for someone to ask "what are thoooooose?" as soon as they open the box, though.
