Last year, Mike Nolan was selected in the 18th round of the 2014 MLB Draft by the Oakland A's. Today, he's fighting for his life after getting shot during a drive-by shooting early Friday morning.

According to NBC New York, Nolan and a group of friends were standing outside of a fast food restaurant in Yonkers, N.Y. when a man pulled up near them and opened fire. The 23-year-old pitcher was shot in the head and torso and was rushed to a local hospital in critical condition a short time later. Police have not tracked down the shooter yet, but they believe that Nolan may have been involved in a dispute with him prior to the shooting.
