The 2015 version of Johnny Manziel has been so…boring. No more money sign. No more palling around with Drake. No more fun. He's one step away from making everyone call him "John." And it feels like it's been forever since he's done an interview that we've actually cared about, which, truth be told, is probably a good thing for him and the Browns. But still, give us something to work with, Johnny Football!

Fortunately, he finally broke the streak earlier today when a reporter asked him if he wants to shut people like ESPN analyst Merril Hoge up by playing a good game against the Titans on Sunday. If you're not familiar with Hoge's work, he's been really critical of Manziel over the last couple years and has referred to him as a "bust" on multiple occasions. So after the reporter teed him up, Manziel was more than happy to take a shot at Hoge and "his big neckties":

"I think Merril Hoge needs to worry about his big neckties," he said. "Talking about Merril, he's been that way since I decided to come out for the draft. That's really part of it. But no, no extra motivation or bump for me. It's just go out and play and quiet him with the way we go out and win on Sundays. That's what we want to do."

Manziel is referring to this:

And apparently, he's not the first person to suggest Hoge slim down his ties:

Johnny Manziel: "I think Merril Hoge needs to worry about his big neckties."

Agreed. We've been telling him the same thing for years!
