He might be the Champions League's top scorer ever and, arguably, the best player in the world right now, but apparently Cristiano Ronaldo isn't even one of the best at free-kick takers.
FIFA 16's complete list has got a couple of surprises on it. The top 10 has two players from the Turkish Super Lig (Mehment Ekici and Alban Meha, in 8th and 9th respectively), one from Swedish top division (Rasmus Elm in 7th) and even a player turning out for Club Tijuana in Mexico (Juan Arango in 5th). The biggest surprise, though, is Bayer Leverkusen's Hakan Calhanoglu who comes out on top of the list.
Not everyone on the list is a shock.
Admittedly, leaving out Ronaldo for the hidden gems of the Turkish, Swedish and Mexican leagues is a bit surprising, but some of the players on the list are a exactly who you'd expect. The free-kick OG, Andrea Pirlo, is 2nd on the list, Lionel Messi scrapes into the top 5 and Memphis Depay and Marco Reus also make it into the top 10. There's always next year, Cristiano.
