Sports fans are obsessed with arguing about whether or not certain players are "elite." Just ask your boy Joe Flacco.
Carmelo Anthony shouldn't be one of players because, well, come on, the guy is elite, regardless of what some NBA fans out there will try to tell you. But that didn't stop Instagram user freemangfx from taking to IG this weekend to pose the question anyway. "Is Carmelo Anthony still an elite player?" he asked.
It's a question that resulted in a bunch of silly responses like, "Compared to k perk no." But for whatever reason, Carmelo himself saw the question and decided that he was going to respond to it. He has since deleted his response, but Eye on Basketballfound a screengrab of it. You can see it here:
It's unclear why Carmelo continues to engage in conversations with fans trolls on social media. But if we've learned anything, it's that if Carmelo sees you trying to talk trash about him on Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook, he will respond. He just can't seem to help himself.
