He's won a Heisman, made two Pro Bowls, and now Cam Newton will share something in common with Doug Funny, Tommy Pickles and Arnold from Hey Arnold (sorry if those are dated references, I haven't exactly watched the channel over the past decade-and-a-half).

Airing next year, the Panthers quarterback will star in a 20-episode "docu-series" called I Wanna Be. The network it's set to air on (Nickelodeon) released a statement about the show saying it'll "Follow Newton as he takes real kids on the ride of their lives to help make their dreams come true." More specifically it'll show Cam helping two kids per episode follow their aspirations, which range from:

"...decorating award-winning cakes to making it to a Broadway stage."

Sounds like goals right up Cam's alley.

Said Newton about the show:

“Time in the spotlight has made me realize the importance of creating positive messages to inspire the next generation. I’m very passionate about mentoring young people, and this show will be the perfect opportunity to help talented kids get the chance to pursue their dreams."

If you're a Panthers fan worried this'll really bone your team's 2-0 start, know that the filming for the project won't begin until the offseason (which should begin for Carolina around the end of divisional playoff round).
