Vanderbilt Football Briefly Embraced an Extremely Inappropriate New Slogan

Vanderbilt's football team briefly embraced an extremely inappropriate new slogan.

Vanderbilt University's football team posted a new slogan to its Twitter page on Wednesday that thankfully was only there for a few hours.

The part of the message that read "We DON'T need your permission" was tone-deaf at best, considering the fact that two of the team's players were convicted of aggravated rape in January, before a mistrial was declared in the case six months later.

After a ton of people flooded the team's mentions to point out how horrible this was, the tweet was eventually deleted. But it's truly amazing how something like that could have ever been posted in the first place.
