Sometimes coaches have to use a little bit of rough language to get through to their players, and evidently that's just as true in women's tennis as it is in plenty of other sports.
Alison Riske was on the wrong end of some disrespectful instruction from what initially appeared to be her coach, who was caught telling her to "shut the fuck up" during a sideline conversation.
Not great, but not a big deal in the universe of player-coach relationships. Except that this person wasn't her coach.
This seems like a less than ideal way to treat one's girlfriend, no matter the circumstances. But as Riske pointed out, she won the match, so who are we to judge?
