Robert Griffin IIIgot crushed last night in preseason action against the Detroit Lions, so much so that he ended up suffering a concussion.

It was clear that the Redskins had no answer for Detroit's pass rush, and RGIII was on the wrong end of multiple bone-crushing hits as a result.

It was natural for fans to wonder why in the world a team would let its quarterback take such a ridiculous amount of preseason punishment. But at least one teammate had the same questions, according to Eric Edholm of Yahoo Sports.

I decided to reach out to a player this morning to find out his thoughts.

This is a perfectly reasonable opinion, and one undoubtedly shared by the bulk of the team's fan base. But a player publicly questioning the decisions of the franchise, even anonymously, will only add to the turmoil in Washington where the team's starting quarterback is concerned.
