The Steelers organization caught a fair amount of crap for signing Michael Vick to a one-year contract. They signed someone who was convicted of helping to torture dogs, and he will backup someone who was accused of rape.
But this is a what-have-you-done-for-me-lately sports culture. Vick hasn't done much, but he gave fans some proof that he could do a little something in his first throw as a Steeler. In today's preseason match against the Bills, he welcomed himself with a 63-yard bomb to Martavis Bryant. Granted, Bryant is a beast. But look how on-point that deep pass was for a guy who wasn't even supposed to have a job at the NFL at this point.
