Watch out, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo – Luis Suarez is catching up with you.
The Uruguayan striker has joined Ronaldo and Messi on the shortlist for UEFA's Best Player in Europe award, which rewards a player for their achievements in the 2014/15 season.
Cristiano Ronaldo makes the cut after scoring 61 goals in 54 appearances last year and winning the FIFA Club World Cup and UEFA Super Cup. His season ended in disappointment though, with Real Madrid falling short in both La Liga and the Champions League.
Suarez and Messi both enjoyed tremendous success in Barcelona's treble winning season, forming two-thirds of the frightening strike trio with Neymar that scored 122 goals in all competitions last season.
With award season just around the corner, it's time to brace ourselves for all those 'Messi or Ronaldo' debates again.
