WWE star John Cenahas a long history of doing charitable work for the Make-A-Wish foundation, and plans to continue to do so as long as people keep asking.
Cena appeared on "Today" to grant his 500th wish, this time to 8-year-old Rocco Lanzer, who was diagnosed with Leukemia back in January. Cena had already met the youngster once, but the kid said he wasn't feeling so great that day, and couldn't have the kind of conversation with his hero that he wanted.
So, Cena met with him again and showered him with gifts, which included tickets to an upcoming "Monday Night Raw" event to see the wrestler perform in person.
"A lot of times when people donate time or resources, there's a little speculation about where it goes," Cena said. "I'm at the finish line. I get to see the families; I get to see the joy and the hope that we bring.
"I'll continue to be involved with Make-A-Wish as long as they'll have me."
