And round and round we go…

Yesterday, TMZ Sports published a video that featured Ronda Rousey taking a series of shots at Floyd Mayweather. In the video, she said that she believes she makes more money per second than Mayweather, and she ended her rant against him by saying, "When he learns to read and write, he can text me."

Ouch. Last night, Mayweather released a response to Rousey through TMZ Sports. And surprise, surprise, it featured the boxer reminding Rousey about how rich he is.

"Big bank take little bank," he said in the statement. "Let's play and see how much money you got. Last time I checked, I was No. 1 on Forbes. She will never be at my status. Keep trying to get publicity."

At this point, it's Mayweather that could use the publicity. His September 12 fight against Andre Berto is less than two weeks away. So this "beef" with Rousey isn't anything for him to sneeze at. In fact, it might be the very thing that gets people to tune into his fight.

With that in mind, we wouldn't expect this war of words to die down anytime soon. But you already knew that, didn't you?
