DeMarcus Cousins doesn't respect Charles Barkley. He also will never respect Barkley (his words). However, Cousins could at least boast he has one thing his fellow Alabama native does not: The key to his hometown.
Cousins returned to Mobile, AL. to host a youth basketball camp with free eye exams. The return to Mobile focused on charity; Cousins toured Mobile with city mayor Sandy Stimpson and spread goodwill. He planned to revitalize his old neighborhood and stopped by a elementary school to hang with the children.
So one of the NBA's more mercurial talents does have a heart for some charity. Cousins is going to be publicly honored this Sunday, and Barkley is probably going to be the last thing on his mind by then.
