Carmelo Anthony is no stranger to taking shots at his own fans on social media. See here, here, and here for examples of that. The Knicks star has a TON of critics on the Internet, and he has been all too happy to address them in the past.
Last night, he did it again during a brief back-and-forth with fans on IG. According to ESPN, a Knicks fan questioned how much Carmelo actually cares about the game of basketball, and Carmelo responded by ripping the fan and telling him that, if he wants Carmelo to be traded so badly, he will personally see to it that the fan gets a meeting with the Knicks' front office.
"Shows how little you know about me," Carmelo wrote to the fan. "Staying in NY shows that I do care. If I would have left, what would you have said then? 'Oh, Melos wack for leaving. He turned his back on NY.' FOH. You are stuck with me buddy. Deal with it. If you want me gone, I'll personally walk you into the front office so you can plead your case of the Knicks trading me. Hope you have bail money bc they might have you arrested for Disturbing the Peace."
Carmelo's response obviously wasn't quite as entertaining as the time he referred to a fan as a "glazed donut face," but it's nice to see that Carmelo is still coming for the trolls! We wonder if he'll ever realize that interacting with them is only going to make things worse.
