The Freddy Adu footballing fairytale isn't over yet.

The world's most famous wonderkid has just joined the 13th club of his professional career. After leaving the fourth division of Finnish football last week, the 26-year-old Adu has pitched up at North American Soccer League side, Tampa Bay Rowdies.

Adu has worked with Tampa Bay's head coach before.

Adu – who signed a deal with Nike at just 13-years-old and was famously touted as a future world beater – has worked with Rowdies coach, Thomas Rongen, when he represented USA at the U20 World Cup in 2007.

In his career to date, Adu has played for teams including DC United, Benfica, AS Monaco, Çaykur Rizespor and – most recently – Kuopio Futis 98 from the fourth tier of Finnish football.
