Rockets Reportedly Interested in Trying to Sign Kevin Love and LaMarcus Aldridge This Summer

Is more help on the way for James Harden and Dwight Howard?

The Rocketscame thisclose to signing Chris Bosh to a free agent deal last summer before the Heatswooped in and made him an offer he couldn't refuse. And while they weren't able ink Bosh, it doesn't sound like that's going to make them gun shy this summer when it comes to free agency.

According to ESPN's Marc Stein, Houston is going to try to sign both Kevin Love and LaMarcus Aldridge when NBA free agency begins next month:

Hearing ever-aggressive Rockets are plotting ways to try to crash this summer's free-agent chases for both Kevin Love and LaMarcus Aldridge

The problem that the Rockets are going to run into is that they've obviously got a lot of money tied up in the players on their roster now. It could ultimately prevent them from matching the deals that other teams will offer Love and Aldridge:

Cap space is not Houston's friend at the moment, but word is they will try to get in the mix for both Love and Aldridge as Rockets often do

But at the very least, the Rockets are expected to be in the mix, and we imagine that James Harden and Dwight Howard couldn't be happier about general manager Daryl Morey's endless pursuit of star players.
