There was a moment in the first half of Game 3 of the NBA Finals where the box score looked like this:

Stephen Curry - 3 points

Matthew Dellavedova - 5 points

Curry would finally look like himself, dropping 24 points in the second half during a furious Golden State Warriors comeback after being down by 20 points, but the story of the Finals has been the little Aussie that could. Cavs fans know the man they call Delly well, but his hustle, defense on Curry and sudden offensive explosion has turned him into an Internet folk hero.

After shutting down Curry in Game 2, Dellavedova hit what might have been the biggest shot of the game. With the Warriors down just one with 2:29 left in the fourth quarter, Delly hit a miracle, off the glass jumper the went in while he was fouled by Curry for the and-1. Then the memes began. Then it became lit. Delly is the most popular man on the Internet.

The Cavs have inexplicably gone up 2-1 in the NBA Finals, and stolen home court advantage out from underneath the feet of the Warriors. And if Delly keeps playing like he has, he'll be mayor of Cleveland by the end of June.
