Early this evening, Carmelo Anthony tweeted a passive-aggressive response to the justified criticism surrounding the Knicks' draft pick. Now, Anthony is fed up and sick of your shit.
Anthony responded to a number fans and critics on the Instagram post of him and Tim Hardaway Jr. The harshest of them was directed to a @preznyc621. Anthony dissed him using a number of tropes that you'd find in your '00s rap album outro manifesto: Your opinion doesn't matter, support or shut up, I'm about this (Knicks) life, etc.
The other responses were tamer. A few were directed to a @dav1dee, who accused Anthony of taking his anger at potentially having to play with a dude name Kristaps out on fans.
@dav1dee also tried to offer some sort of condolences over the Hardaway Jr. trade: "trades happen bro u can't do it alone." Anthony, still fed up, wasn't having it.
@gmbones also egged Anthony on by taunting him about how he's responding to fans at 10 pm on a Friday. Anthony, still sick of your shit, threw shots at him, too.
Sadly, we'll have to wait until the fall to watch Melo put up 50 points per game—and still miss the playoffs.
