Earlier this afternoon, the NFL released the full 243-page report that attorney Ted Wells put together after investigating the #DeflateGate scandal that rocked the Patriots organization following their AFC Championship Game victory against the Colts in January. And it's causing quite a bit of controversy.
In the report, Tom Brady and two Patriots employees are accused of knowingly deflating footballs prior to New England's game against Indianapolis. The report doesn't definitively say that Brady was 100 percent in on the #DeflateGate scandal. But it does say that it's "more probable than not" that Brady knew what was going on, despite what he's said over the last four months.
"Based on the evidence, we also have concluded that it is more probable than not that Tom Brady was at least generally aware of the inappropriate activities of [Patriots locker room attendant] Jim McNally and [Patriots equipment manager] John Jastremski involving the release of air from Patriots game balls," the report says.
Shocking, right? It's one thing for the Patriots to be accused of wrongdoing. That's happened in the past. But the fact that it sounds like Brady was at the center of #DeflateGate—and then lied about it—makes it way worse. And as you'd expect, Twitter has had a lot of things, both positive and negative, to say about Brady as a result of what Wells wrote about him in his report.
