At the ripe old age of 19, skater Curren Caples is the consummate professional. His personal brand and his street game are both on point, but he is not one to rest on his laurels. Curren's obsession goes beyond just hitting the skate park every day. He wants to get better—more skilled, more inventive. Odds are good he'll get there, too. He's been skating since he was six years old, and his dad runs a skate and surf shop, so it's clear that this is more than just a business to him. In addition to his passion for skating, Curren is a leader in skate fashion, and an extremely strong surfer. Boards and gear are a way of life for Curren Caples.
We met up with Curren in Ventura County, CA, home of one of his favorite skate spots in the country, the Ojai Skate Park. He digs the park's flow, and after watching him in action it's easy to see why. The park fuels his obsession to get better, and his familiarity with the terrain gives him the freedom to try new things. Speaking of trying new things, Curren is also a budding photographer, and board shaper. But why don't you just check out the video, already?
