Warriors and Pelicans Fans Reacted Very Differently to Steph Curry's Incredible Game-Tying Shot Last Night

Steph Curry hit a lot of three-pointers during the 2014-15 NBA regular season. In fact, he hit more three-pointers than anyone in league history with 286 total. And he has continued to hit shots from deep during the NBA Playoffs. Through the first three games of the Warriors' first-round series against the Pelicans, Curry has made 14 three-point shots. But he made his most impressive three of the playoffs—and quite possibly, the entire season—at the end of regulation in Game 3 of the series last night.

Heading into the fourth quarter of the game, the Warriors trailed the Pelicans by 20 points. But they were able to climb back into the game and, with 9.6 seconds left on the clock, they were down just three. They drew up a play for Curry and, somewhat surprisingly, he missed a pretty good look. But the Warriors were able to corral an offensive rebound and kicked the ball back out to Curry in the corner. Both Anthony Davis and Tyreke Evans were in the vicinity of Curry and, as some people pointed out on Twitter later, Curry didn't even appear to have his eyes open when he caught the ball and put up a shot to try and tie the game:

But it didn't stop him from doing this:

Wow. What a shot. And while it didn't technically end the game, it pretty much delivered a knockout blow to the Pelicans in both the game and the series. The Warriors went on to win 123-119 in overtime to take a commanding 3-0 lead heading into Game 4 this weekend.

Curry's shot was amazing. But do you know what was even more amazing? Watching the way that Warriors fans reacted on Twitter versus how Pelicans fans did. It was the very definition of the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat and pretty much summed up what makes the NBA playoffs so great. Scroll down to see what we mean.
